Vincent "Vinny" Mattessino was only 52 when he unexpectedly passed away. He was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. Vinny was a good man with a big heart. He was a one of a kind and was unapologetically himself. He was a big kid - loud and fun to be around. He cracked jokes at inappropriate times and caught you off guard when you least expected it. He was funny and kind and he had a great laugh. He was a man of few words but his presence spoke volumes. He was steady and strong - the kind of person you could count on to show up. He did what needed to be done and never asked for recognition. He was stubborn and did things his way. He was resourceful and could fix just about anything. He was larger than life and he is missed deeply.
Vinny donated his liver, both kidneys and corneas, and bone. His lungs were donated for research.
I am proud to call him my husband. I love and miss him every day.
