J’nelle Ebony Clements

They say to be known is to be loved. For J’nelle Clements, that would be a massive understatement.

J’nelle was known and adored by so many people, from so many different places and walks of life. She had a rare ability to make everyone she encountered feel special, loved, and as though they had known her forever. Her vibrant personality, brilliance, warmth, and infectious energy left an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

To know J’nelle was to experience her warmth, her laughter, and her extraordinary ability to make you feel loved.

A graduate of Villanova University with an MBA from Drexel University, J’nelle was a woman of incredible drive, creativity, and ambition. She was passionate about creating opportunities for others, supporting her community, and using her talents to make an impact far beyond herself.

J’nelle was also a gifted entrepreneur. In 2019, she founded Bubbles and Brews, transforming an Italian milk truck into a mobile bar that quickly became a Philadelphia staple. In 2024, she continued her entrepreneurial journey by opening The Social on Morton, a restaurant and gathering place that embodied everything she loved: community, family, connection, and a damn good time. The Social was more than a business - it was a place where people came together, celebrated, laughed, and made memories.

But J’nelle’s greatest legacy was never found in her accomplishments. It was found in the people she loved.

She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her mother, Patricia, was her lifeline. Her brother Jamal was her protector, and her sister Tatanisha shared a special bond with her. Her cousins Wes and Doug were more like brothers, and her nephews Javon, Jaden, and Jamel were more like sons. J’nelle loved her family fiercely and made sure the people she loved always knew it.

J’nelle was preceded in death by her beloved father, Claiborne Clements, and her cherished dog, Zeke, whom she considered her son.

After surviving two brain aneurysms, J’nelle became passionate about raising awareness and advocating for others. She understood firsthand how precious life is and used her experience to encourage others to be aware, informed, and proactive.

J’nelle spent her life giving - to her family, her friends, her community, and countless people she encountered along the way. It is incredibly fitting that her legacy will continue through the Gift of Life.

Though her physical presence is deeply missed, J’nelle’s generosity allows a part of her to continue touching lives. Through her gift, others may be given more time, more memories, and more opportunities to experience the love and joy that J’nelle brought into this world.

J’nelle spent her life making people feel known, loved, celebrated, and seen.

Now, her legacy continues by giving others the gift of life.

We will miss you forever.
