A Tribute to Isabella Rose Gonzalez
Our Forever Dancing Angel
Our Bella is a HERO!
From the moment we found out Isabella was on her way, we knew she was special. And from the moment she arrived, she filled every corner of our lives with love, light, and laughter.
Isabella Rose Gonzalez, lovingly known as Bella, was the embodiment of joy. With her radiant smile and endless energy, she brightened the lives of everyone she met. She was a dancer at heart—beginning classes at just three years old and never missing a chance to perform, even if it was just a TikTok routine at home. “She would set up her phone the second we walked in the door,” says her mom, Amanda. “She was always trying to teach her Mama and Papa the latest moves.”
But Bella was more than just a dancer. She was a giver, a nurturer, and a dreamer. She adored Christmas, volunteered whenever she could, and loved doing makeup and hair with her friends. Her little sister, Scarlett, wasn’t just her sibling—she was her very best friend. The bond they shared was one of pure love and laughter.
On June 23, 2022, at just 12 years old, Bella’s beautiful dance came to an unexpected end. She collapsed while dancing at home with her family. Only afterward did they learn she had been living with ARVC—Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy—a rare heart condition that can cause sudden cardiac arrest, especially during physical activity.
In her passing, Bella did what she always did in life—she gave. She became an organ donor and gifted the miracle of sight to an educator, helping them continue their life’s work.
Her family created Bella’s Butterflies, an organization dedicated to spreading awareness of ARVC and advocating for early screening. “If we can save even one life,” says her father Juany, “that’s what Bella would want.” In fact, her legacy has already begun saving lives. Through genetic testing following her passing, her brother Xavier was diagnosed with a heart rhythm disorder—QT prolongation. Thanks to Bella, he now receives the treatment he needs.
Bella's memory continues to shine through the lives she’s touched:
Bella’s Bundles, an annual winter drive organized by her middle school MBA, collects hats, scarves, and gloves for women in shelters, warming hearts and bodies in her name.
Bella’s Butterflies Memorial Scholarship Fund helps young dancers chase their dreams, just as she did, by covering tuition for children who share her passion.
Her name alone radiates beauty. In just 12 years, she gave us a lifetime’s worth of love, strength, and wisdom. She danced through life not just with her feet, but with her soul—every step leaving a mark that will never fade.
Bella is a hero. A miracle worker. A forever light.
She is our Dancing Butterfly—graceful, vibrant, and always in motion.
We love you endlessly, Bella.
You will forever be cherished, celebrated, and remembered.
