About Gift of Life Donor Program

Gift of Life Donor Program serves more than 11.3 million people across the eastern half of Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware. We help save and heal lives by coordinating the recovery and distribution of organs and tissues used in life-saving and life-enhancing transplants. We partner with 124 acute care hospitals and 12 transplant centers to maximize donation opportunities.

As an organ procurement organization (OPO), we serve as a critical link between individuals and families who make the generous decision to donate organs and tissues, and those who need a transplant.

Community outreach and education 

Our support to grieving families continues through the organ and tissue donation process and includes services provided at the hospital and via aftercare programs provided by our Family Support Counselors.

Building public awareness enables us to continually improve the number of organs available for transplant. 

Our community relations team provides outreach and education programs to raise awareness of the critical need for donated organs and tissues. This staff also works closely with our volunteer ambassadors. These volunteers are donor families, transplant recipients, those awaiting a life-saving transplant and advocates for organ donation.
